LOCAL AUTHOR LENORE LIBURD RELEASES FIRST ROMANCE NOVEL

Friday September 27, 2019: Local author Ms. Lenore Liburd releases her first novel “Second Chance at Love.”

The steamy romantic novel is about one woman taking another chance at love after being betrayed by the man she was deeply in love with. Tom and Alisha’s love for each other was rare and precious. They were about to add a new member to their family to complete their union when a twisted act of jealousy destroyed their perfect life, causing the loss of their most precious gift, that left them broken, betrayed and empty. Alisha could not share intimacy with her soul mate anymore, something that made her sing music of sweet ecstasy, because of the shock pain of betrayal. A close friend gradually helped her to get through some of the most painful time in her life. However, the look from a total stranger sparkles in the faded ashes of her dead emotions, flames that ignited into sweet passion.

As a young girl, Author Lenore Liburd always had a vivid imagination, an imagination that led her down the path of romance writing. “As an adult and mother, whenever I see the power of love, hate and jealousy around me, it influences me to write and that was my inspiration behind my novel, “Second Chance at Love,” Ms. Liburd said.

According to Ms. Liburd “A Second Chance at Love“ is an example to readers that in spite of what people may do or say about them, they cannot destroy them because there is an inner strength inside of them that will always make them shine and be victorious. “Even though the novel is fiction, it will touch the heart of the readers because it is about real life matters,” Ms. Liburd noted.

One key principle embedded throughout the book is the concept of forgiveness. “This book aims to make readers realize that even though someone might have done them wrong, no matter how hard it might be, they should forgive them and love themselves instead because somewhere along the way, there will always be that special someone who is coming their way when they least expect it,” the Author explained.

About the Author

Lenore Liburd was born in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. She is the second of seven children. Her father left her mother when she was very young. However, her mother made sure that she received an education even if it is only as far as high school. She continued her education on her own when she was in a financial position to do so. She started writing her first book when she was visiting her daughter, who was living in London at the time pursuing a degree in law. Her daughter is now a barrister. The dedication her daughter portrayed inspired her to complete this book. She came from humble beginnings and she intends to remain humble as she accomplishes great things.
